Praying at the Same Time
for Us as well
(Col.4:3)
During these days, we should be praying for each other. Today, as you pray, take the time to pray for your friends in the Calvary family. Specifically, call their name before the Father (see the example below).
For instance, pray for your Bible Fellowship leader and your friends in the Bible Fellowship class. Pray that they will be burdened for their neighbors, their family members and friends that need Christ.
Sometimes we fall into a rut. We expect our Christian friends to care about God. But, we also begin to have expectations about those who dont know Christ. We begin to think that they will never care. We expect them to be hardened and indifferent. We assume they dont want to know Him.
As we pray for each other, lets ask God to give us an expectant spirit. Lets pray for an alertness that will notice; an attitude that really cares; and the boldness to take action. We need to reach out during this Easter season.
In Colossians 4, the Apostle Paul said: pray
that God will open a door. As we pray for each other, lets ask God to help us see the ways that He is already at work so that we can respond to the doors He is opening.
Take a moment and pray this prayer for your friends
and, tomorrow, as we gather for worship, tell them that you are praying for God to open a door for them to share.
Father,
Today I pray for _____________. Open a door of opportunity for ____________ to share Jesus with others.
In Jesus Name, Amen
